Malapit Pa Rin - Chill Pills | LYRICS & ENGLISH TRANSLATION

Paggising sa umaga,
Ang araw ko'y buo na sa pagtawag mo
Natutuwa ako
kapag naririnig ka sa telepono
Boses mo pa lang,
pakiramdam ko'y para ring nandito ka
Tawa at ngiti mo'y
gamot sa aking pag-iisa

Narito ako at nariyan ka
Araw at gabi, iniisip kita
'Di mapakali,
sabik akong makita kang muli, sinta

Magkabila man ang mundo nating dal'wa
Sa puso't panaginip, kapiling kita
Ang layo mo man,
ika'y malapit pa rin

Pinaghiwalay man tayo ng
tadhanang sadyang kay gulo
Ang pag-ibig mo'y
nandito lagi sa puso ko

Narito ako at nariyan ka
Araw at gabi, iniisip kita
'Di mapakali,
sabik akong makita kang muli, sinta

Magkabila man ang mundo nating dal'wa
Sa puso't panaginip, kapiling kita
Ang layo mo man,
ika'y malapit pa rin

Oh, oh, oh

Narito ako at nariyan ka
Araw at gabi, iniisip kita
'Di mapakali,
sabik akong makita kang muli, sinta

Magkabila man ang mundo nating dal'wa
Sa puso't panaginip, kapiling kita
Ang layo mo man,
ikaw ay malapit pa rin

Kahit ano pa'ng sabihin nila
Mahal pa rin kita, wala nang iba
Alaala mo'y dala-dala ko
kahit sa'n man magpunta,

Oh, oh, oh

Magkabila man ang mundo nating dal'wa
Sa puso't panaginip, kapiling kita
Ang layo mo man, ika'y malapit pa rin
malapit pa rin
malapit pa rin

When I wake up in the morning,
My day is made with just a call from you
I feel happy
Whenever I hear you over the phone
With just your voice
I feel like you're also here
Your laughter and your smiles are
the cure for my solitude

I'm here and you're there
Day and night, I think of you
Restless,
I look forward to seeing you again, my dear

Even if we're on opposite ends of the world
In my heart and in my dreams, I'm with you
Even if you're too far away
You're still very close

Even if we were separated by
a fate full of troubles
Your love
is always in my heart

I'm here and you're there
Day and night, I think of you
Restless,
I look forward to seeing you again, my dear

Even if we're on opposite ends of the world
In my heart and in my dreams, I'm with you
Even if you're too far away
You're still very close

Oh, oh, oh

I'm here and you're there
Day and night, I think of you
Restless,
I look forward to seeing you again, my dear

Even if we're on opposite ends of the world
In my heart and in my dreams, I'm with you
Even if you're too far away
You're still very close

Whatever they may say
I still love you, no one else
Your memories are with me
Wherever I go

Oh, oh, oh

Even if we're on opposite ends of the world
In my heart and in my dreams, I'm with you
Even if you're too far away, you're still very close
still very near
still very near

Tampisaw - This Band LYRICS & ENGLISH TRANSLATION

Nakatingin sa kalye
Ang bagal pa ng byahe
Patungo sa ating tagpuan

Naiinip, naiinis,
Ang bagal ng andar
Pwede bang konting bilis
Dali na manong driver

Andito na sa 'ting tagpuan
Sabay tayong kumakaway
Bigla na lang may pumatak
Nagkatinginan, kumislap
Nagkaisa ang ating isip at
Sabay na nating gagawin

Magtampisaw sa ulan
Tila walang pakialam
Sa mga tao sa paligid
O kung tayo'y lalagnatin

Tumakbo palayo
Taas kamay at hawak mo
Makikisilong kina manong at
Magku-kwentuhan tayo

Ano mang trip o gimik
Kahit ano pa ang ating gawin
Basta't kasama ka
Walang iba pang hahanapin

Ilabas ang chips, fries, and dips
Sabay nating uubusin
At pagkatapos no'n ay
Tatayo't magbibilang

Isa, dalawa, tatlo
Tayo ay tatakbo, ooh

Magtampisaw sa ulan
Tila walang pakialam
Sa mga tao sa paligid
O kung tayo'y lalagnatin

Tumakbo palayo
Taas kamay at hawak mo
Makikisilong kina manong at
Magku-kwentuhan tayo

Isa, dalawa, tatlo
Tayo ay tatakbo

Magtampisaw sa ulan
Tila walang pakialam

O kung tayo'y lalagnatin

Tumakbo palayo

Magku-kwentuhan tayo
Watching the streets
This trip's been dragging on (1)
I'm on my way to our meeting place

Impatient, annoyed
This drive's too slow
Can you speed it up
Come on, mister driver

Finally I'm in our meeting place
We're both waving our hands
Suddenly, there were droplets (2)
(We) looked at each other, something sparked
Our minds worked as one and
Together we will do it

Play in the rain
Like we do not care
About the people around us
Or if we'll get feverish later

Run away
With hands raised while you're holding mine
We will take shelter with manong (3)
and we will tell lots of stories (4)

Whatever trip or gimmick (5)
No matter what we do
As long as you're with me
I'll look for nothing else

Take out the chips, fries, and dips
We'll finish them together
And after that
We'll stand up and count

One, two, three
We will run

Play in the rain
Like we do not care
About the people around us
Or if we'll get feverish later

Run away
With hands raised while held by you
We will take shelter with manong
and we will tell lots of stories

One, two, three
We will run

Play in the rain
Like we do not care
About the people around us
Or if we'll get feverish later

Run away
With hands raised while held by you
We will take shelter with manong and -

Play in the rain
Like we do not care
About the people around us
Or if we'll get feverish later

Run away
With hands raised while held by you
We will take shelter with manong
and we will tell lots of stories

NOTES

(1) Literal translation: "This trip is too slow / this drive is too slow"
(2) Literal translation: "Suddenly, something dropped" but "pumatak" is used to refer to liquid that has dropped or poured or fell
(3) Manong is a term used to refer to an older man. It is generally taken as a respectful way to call an older man whose name you do not know. Here, it is most likely referring to a sidewalk vendor or someone selling stuff who has provisions for shelter against the rain (probably a big umbrella for their wares). Filipinos are rather friendly and they won't mind helping someone out especially when it rains (God knows how much Filipinos hate getting rained on lol)
(4) Same as: We will talk about many things, but I used a different phrasing because mag-uusap is better suited to "will talk/converse" while magku-kwentuhan, with root word kwento (story) is better suited to be translated and understood as "will tell stories"
(5) Basically, "whatever it is". The word "trip" in Filipino context generally refers to anything you're into or interested in. For example, you'd hear people say "Nice clothes! Trip ko 'yan" (I l like them! / I'm into that!) It almost interchangeable with the word "like".

Lastly, "Tampisaw" is a word for Play in the rain (or anything that's water - puddles, sea, river, pools, etc)
