(1) bida - direct translation is [main character] or [protagonist] ; Maybe I should've used "heroine" since it's a girl singing? Whatchu think? Anyway I think you get what I mean

(2) Nora and Vilma - so who are these people? Why were they mentioned in this song? Short answer: Search the net for Nora Aunor and Vilma Santos. They are huge figures in the Philippine Entertainment Industry. It's typical for their fans to have arguments about who is the better artist/actress (Yep my mom confirmed it because I thought she was just kidding and apparently she's been part of the fandom) 

(3) Darna - a female super hero that is like the Filipino counterpart of Wonder Woman (in terms of design???) She's the most famous fictional hero in the Philippines

(4) Alas-nuebe - the right term is "Alas nueve" or 9 o'clock. Anyway it's a local bastardization of Spanish words. Yeah we do that a lot. Some examples: [cinco] becomes [singko] ; [seis] becomes [sais, pronounced /sa-is/ ] ; yes we use them in daily convos... [cocina] became [kusina] and that's our word for [kitchen]... and so much more.
